HOW DOES THE BALLPOINT TIP RETRACT?
To extend or retract the point, hold the pen on both sides of the silver ring near the grip and twist. Do not operate the point from the back of the pen, as this may loosen the end cap.

HOW DO I REPLACE THE INK IN MY BALLPOINT PEN?
MAGIA ballpoint ink refills are made especially for MAGIA pens and may be purchased from the retailer or ordered directly from MAGIA.

Retract point into the pen.
Pull the pen apart at the silver ring just above the grip.
Hold the blue plastic tip and unscrew the old ink cartridge. 
Move the blue plastic tip to the new cartridge. Tighten FIRMLY.

HOW DO I REPLACE THE INK IN MY FOUNTAIN PEN?
MAGIA fountain pens are easy to refill. Ink cartridges can be ordered from MAGIA pens. See Order Info heading on home page. MAGIA fountain pens are also compatible with Cross cartridges and Staedtler calligraphy cartridges.

Unscrew at the silver ring near the grip. Use a tissue to remove the empty cartridge and insert the new one firmly. Rotate gently to be sure cartridge is well seated. It may take a few strokes until the ink reaches the nib. It is also possible to refill the empty cartridge using a syringe and bottled ink.

Beads
CAN I REPLACE A BROKEN BEAD?
MAGIA glass beads are handmade to fit our pens. You can order new beads in two ways:

#1.  Send us the broken bead.  Be sure to use a padded envelope to keep the bead from breaking through or falling out before it gets to us.  Include your credit card # and expiration date or send a check or money order made out to MAGIA for $3.50/bead.  In addition to your name and address, please include a phone number in case we have a question regarding your order.

#2.  Go to the PRODUCTS heading on our home page and locate the color of your pen.  Starting at the writing tip, count the beads #1, #2, #3, #4 with #4 being closet to the back of the pen.  Let us know the color of your pen and the bead #(s) you wish to replace by emailing us at sales@magiapens.com.

Include your credit card # and expiration date or send a check or money order made out to MAGIA for $3.50/bead.  In addition to your name and address, please include your phone number in case we have a question regarding your order.  THIS IS A SECURE WEBSITE.  ALL INFORMATION IS ENCRYPTED FOR YOUR PROTECTION.

INSTALLING NEW BEADS:  First make note of the order of the beads, including the steel washers between the beads.  Then unscrew the cap at the back of the pen and slide beads off. Slide the new bead into position and replace the remaining beads and washers.  You may refer to the order of the beads by viewing the pen on our website under PRODUCTS.  Secure beads by screwing on the end cap.

CAUTION:  Tighten end cap firmly but do not over-tighten to avoid breaking or cracking the glass beads.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIP:  Be sure the ballpoint ink refill is tightened down into the body of the pen.  A loose refill is the most common problem and is easily fixed.

Warranty
MAGIA pens feature a full metal body with a very fine anodized finish. Our fountain pens employ genuine iridium tips from Germany and both fountain and ballpoint styles are refillable. Well balanced and ergonomically comfortable, MAGIA pens carry a one year warranty against manufacturing defects. This includes all parts of the pen with the exception of the decorative glass or stone beads.

Simply return the defective pen to MAGIA and we will replace it free of charge. Be sure to include your return address.
